Friends of Holiday Outreach

What We Do

During the holiday season funds raised during various events held throughout the year are used to provide food to area food pantries and soup kitchens and provide gifts for children in the Rochester, NY area. The board members and other volunteers shop for food, toys and clothes to be distributed during the holiday season. Volunteers also assist in the wrapping and distribution of these gifts. If you or your organization are interested in volunteering for gift wrapping or any other Holiday Event please contact Kim Verstringhe or Tom Foster.

In 2009 we provided toys and gifts to over 500 children from over 160 families. We also provided staple food items for 85 food baskets for needy families from First Genesis Baptist Church and provided St. Peter's soup kitchen with food supplies for their Holiday dinner for the homeless. Thank you to all of our volunteers for helping us make this happen.
